i do not need much, well seasoned is good, maybe 50wide 100long 50deep (along the grain) in mm
50 mm or so thick along the grain is the most important criteria, strait ish grain comes a close second
i need to whittle two pegs that are tiny (c7mm x 23 mm)
twigs are inappropriate, so a bit of end grain for splitting and sharp work seems suitable
i have some hardwoods i could use but that seems more in keeping with the theme
swap or donation or whatever offered
ps the 50 d mm is a technical thing as these pegs need driving and then trimming(a bit like an axe but sideways)
an offcut from a plank might be perfect.

out of three 2 would be very good and the other probably is.
it is a tiny chunk of a tree but a vital component of what i am restoring
